Small Wonders
The world is so full of wonders, sometimes we don't see the smallest ones. But look closely: a hummingbird darting into a lobelia in the garden, the butterfly outside the window, a green-and-black caterpillar munching on parsley in the garden or the fleeting smile of a newborn child asleep. Perspective also provides a gift to let us view the world in various ways. Those red dots on a skyscraper that resemble ladybirds are really men washing windows; the bird that looks so small and new is really 17 years old and may be the last of its kind.
The small wonders may be the greatest and they may not last long enough for a second look.
